Sheriff’s Office Investigating Fraud Case

The Dane County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on Monday, January 12th, at a residence on South Century Avenue in Waunakee as part of an active fraud investigation that began on December 31, 2025.
Detectives spent several hours at the home, collecting evidence, and ultimately recovered thousands of items related to the case. The suspect is accused of stealing from her employer by making unauthorized purchases using the company’s credit card.
No arrest has been made at this time. The suspect is currently cooperating with investigators, and the case remains ongoing through the Dane County Sheriff’s Office. Additional information will be provided as the investigation progresses.
