MADISON - Dozens of local organizations that promote community arts, history, and culture are receiving “Dane Arts” grants, County Executive Melissa Agard and the Dane County Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission announced today. Sixty-one project, seven capital, and five short order grants totaling $94,362 were recently awarded in cycle 2 for “Dane Arts” grants in 2025. Organizations requested over $275,000 in support. “The arts are woven into the very fabric of Dane County - connecting us, inspiring us, and reflecting who we are,” said Dane County Executive Melissa Agard. “These grants fuel creativity in every corner of our community, keeping the arts accessible, alive, and something we can all take pride in.”

Dane Arts Director Fraire notes, “We are so lucky to enjoy so many amazing artists and arts organizations in Dane County.  The cultural arts are one reason people want to live here.”

The “Dane Arts” grants are funded by county dollars in conjunction with private donations from Diane Ballweg and the Endres Manufacturing Company Foundation.

In 2025, Dane County’s Dane Arts will award over $211,000 in public-private funds to nonprofit organizations, schools, individuals, and municipalities for arts, cultural, local history projects and other community arts programs offered countywide.

The next project grant deadline is February 1, 2026, at 4 p.m. You can learn more at danearts.com
