At 11:23 am on Tuesday, October 8th, Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of CTH V and CTH C in the Village of Windsor.
The driver of a Toyota Rav4 failed to stop for the stop sign on CTH C northbound and was struck by a Ford F350 pick-up truck traveling east on CTH V. The driver of the pick-up truck, a 47-year-old woman from Portage, was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The 63-year-old man in the Toyota Rav4 had to be extricated from his vehicle by Deforest Fire and EMS. Sadly, life-saving efforts were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced deceased by the Dane County Medical Examiner at the scene of the crash
